The Samsung Galaxy M02 was officially unveiled, weeks after becoming part of the media narrative, as the company's new affordable handset. The new model is a successor to the Galaxy M01 that was released last year in June. The Samsung Galaxy M02 is powered by a MediaTek SoC and comes with dual rear cameras. The phone also has a 5,000mAh battery and 32GB of onboard storage. The Galaxy M02 will be competing against Poco C3, Redmi 9, Realme C15, and Micromax In 1b, including both.

For the lone 2 GB + 32 GB storage type, the Samsung Galaxy M02 price in India has been set at Rs. 6,999, while the 3 GB + 32 GB storage option carries a price tag of Rs. 7,499. The Galaxy M02 is available in black, blue, green, and red color options and will be on sale from February 9 via Amazon, Samsung India online store, and leading offline retailers.

The Samsung Galaxy M02 dual-SIM (Nano) runs on Android 10 with a single UI on top. It features an HD+ Infinity-V 6.5-inch display. It comes with a MediaTek MT6739 SoC quad-core, along with up to 3GB of RAM. The Galaxy M02 has a dual rear camera setup for images and videos that comprises a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel macro camera. A 5 megapixel selfie camera on the front is also included in the handset.

Storage

The Samsung Galaxy M02 has 2GB or 3GB of RAM combined with MediaTek's MT6739W SoC. The Android 10-based One UI boots the smartphone and comes with 32 GB of on-board storage, with the option of extending the storage with a microSD card to 1 TB.

A 6.5” Infinity-V display with HD+ resolution and a waterdrop notch for the 5MP selfie camera is built around the Samsung Galaxy M02.

The rear panel of the handset, which has a textured build for a comfortable grip, is home to a vertically arranged upper-left corner dual camera setup. It consists of primary 13MP and 2MP macro cameras, below which is the LED flash.

The Galaxy M02 is 9.1 mm thick, 206 grammes in weight, and a 5,000 mAh battery is charged through a microUSB port.
